Job purpose:  The Digital Marketing & eCommerce Specialist will take responsibility for the performance based digital marketing and merchandising channels including onsite merchandising, paid search, paid social, display and affiliates.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Execution of the digital marketing strategy aligned with the overall marketing strategy and clear ROI targets.
  • Creation and activation of digital marketing activity that is performance based and ROI driven.
  • Working the analytics team develop a measurement framework and KPIs that link to the business objectives, whilst continuously monitoring, measuring and providing analysis on digital performance, ensuring a strong focus on CPA and conversion rate optimisation
  • Close collaboration with brand, other marketing team, and UX teams to ensure all activity is activated in line with brand guidelines.
  • Manage digital agencies to within agreed budgets for all channels including SEO, PPC, Social and Display
  • Constantly adapt the digital marketing activity- based on commercial focus and understanding of digital trends and digital best practice and emerging technology


  • Digital marketing strategy, plan with milestones hit
  • Digital marketing KPIs – ROI focussed.

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

  • Significant experience across digital marketing channels including Display, Paid Search, Paid Social.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage and convert.
  • Experience of SEO.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and constantly optimise a digital marketing strategy based on that interpretation.
  • Experience in managing external agencies, setting objectives and evaluating performance
  • Experience of working in a fast moving ideally start-up environment.

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • Preferably a degree in marketing or commercial discipline.

Direct reports:
The role will development into a manager role in the future as the team grows.
